Blurred backgrounds with strange effects!!

Can you see a strange kind of blurring in these pics?Though strange
they have turned good for the pics..Here I learnt something new about
how good some backgrounds when blurred can turn out to be..

Butterfly :: black on white !!

Unlike other butterflies these ones stay a bit more time at wherever
they drop in.Not so colorful yet beautiful :) It reminds me Kalabhavan
Mani's song "..velleme pullilla...minnunna paavada..."

Star tortoise!!

A star tortoise from Sayaji Baug,Vadodara.These move quite fast than I
expected with their big legs!!

Nikon D60,55 200 VR lens

A Bee talking to me !!

Hows he?He's my friend :)One evening this lazy fellow came to

lazy fellow,sat lazy whole day and searching in the evening for

A lonely beauty from my garden

Can anyone say the Nature is not beautiful?I find beauty in everything :)

Lizard looking strangely at me!!

After searching a lot for a medium sized lizard I found this fellow
falling right infront of me while I was looking wonderfully at a green
colored pigeon.We played running around a bit,finally I managed to get
some shots out of which these two are strange.

Spider with its prey

"Spider struggling with its prey" was shot on the window frame of my room.
I saw the spider struggling with this flying insect.I took the camera
and went close to it.I like a clear detailed image to be captured like
as U see in all my pics.But the lighting was not in my favour.While I
was focusing on,they suddenly fell down from the rod and started
hanging on the web.The scene changed to a dramatic one and I shot a
different photo :)
Finally the prey fell down from the
hunter!! Moral :: "Hunt what you can hold" :)

Mother Squirrel

Here see the mother squirrel.In first picture she's looking eagerly at
me.In the next picture its the sun bath.The baby squirrel was also
below but both didnt fit into my frame with enough expression!!

Many baby squirrels are out with their mothers nowadays around my
home.See his different poses:)

First one looks like he is waiting in search for his gal:)

The next picture is a sun bath actually!!Both grown up and babies have
a session like this when sun comes hot...

I capture RAW images in my camera since I enjoy the extravaganza of an
8GB Sandisk Extreme III SD memory card.Then I do White
Balance,Contrast,Exposure settings in camera which Nikon supports.I
liked it...I do crop also to my wish:-)

Floral faces !!!

Many a times I've felt seeing different faces in some flowers.This
time I've captured them for you:) I found them on a stray plant
infront of my home.Each flower is tiny sizing around 1cm maximum.Some
of them had strange looks,yet some others looking funny.

Haven't you seen dove shaped orchids?Like that here I see a disguised
Mickey and a historic warrior!!Can you see them?

I've named my Mickey too ... He's "Mickey D" :)

The artist in a terrible hunter!!

One of the best shots I've ever taken.With my new camera
Nikon D60,some pictures which I used to wonder during my childhood are
being snapped :)
See the hunter and his artistic work he has done.All artists may not
be doing art with good intention.The traps should be well
identified....
For some it is the web of life and for some others it is the web of death...!!

Ducks from Sayaji Baug,Vadodara

See the color contrast and subject detail difference in both
pictures.Both were shot with 55-200VR lens on Nikon D60.First duck is in shade and that picture has better detail and color contrast compared to the second picture's color contrast as reproduced by the camera despite the presence of rich colors in that scene.

Rain drops on a grass leaf...

Shot infront of my home in Vadodara.

For this pic the aperture used is f/5.6.That is the maximum I will get
with 55mm zoomed in position.See the focus is in a narrow range of
planes in your xyz coordinate.When aperture is increased more to f/3.5
or f/2.8 this plane of focus will become more and more narrow and the
amount of light entering the lens also increases.Background and
foreground will be blurred more.

Since my 18-55VR lens has a maximum aperture range from f/3.5 to f/5.6
I will get only a maximum aperture of f/3.5 when fully zoomed out
(18mm) and f/5.6 when fully zoomed in (55mm).Minimum aperture ranges
from f/32 to f/22 with this lens.

Splendid colors on tender Neem leaves

This shot is just feeding colors to eyes.Shot with 18-55VR on my Nikon D60.

People may think what's there is this pic?I would say photographers
like to feed the camera with rich colors.Have you noticed this much of
color contrast in tender neem leaves?Most of you may not have.That is
what I have brought to you.

18-55VR captures images with good color depth and detail,much better
than its 55-200VR counterpart who fails miserably at bright lit
situations loosing the subject detail and color contrast very much.

Another beautiful Bird...

Shot from Bird Park inside Sayaji Baug,Vadodara with Nikon D60 and
55-200VR lens.
These tiny birds move around fast and was quite difficult to get at
sharp image at ISO 400 above which I dont use for close ups usually.

A beautiful Parrot!

Here in my new job I got a good advantage of working in
shifts.Morning,evening and night shift each twice in a week.I
get a lot of time to do my photography.First day I observe and try to
click,the second day I wait for and click perfectly:)

I got a buddy photo maniac friend Vishak Kurien.He uses Canon
400D,18-55mm Canon lens and 70-300mm Sigma lens.
My kit has Nikon D60,18-55mm VR Nikon lens,55-200mm VR Nikon lens.

We both had a trip to the zoo/park together and clicked to our
wish.There was no one to utter us what not to.In the bird park,we had
full freedom to stick on to the cage walls and click snaps.So we could
blurr the cage grills to the maximum:)
Our first trip together.It was nice to click in a group (Better than clicking alone anyway!!Hehe... )

A drop into many droplets!!

Shot at my home in Vadodara with Nikon D60 and 18-55 VR lens.I was ill
that day and after being bed ridden in the morning, I rose up
impatiently in the afternoo.Since I was not well to go out, I decided
to do some clicks inside home.Then it clicked.Put a chair infront of
the wash basin and started clicking at the dripping tap.Finally I got
a satisfactory output.
"A drop into many droplets" may convey aspects of unity and
individuality in life.When we are left free,most of
us will divert from the group and try to make our own possession of
shape,personality,property etc...Here its the shape formation of the
water droplets departing from the main drop...

Kissing Squirrels

Kissing Squirrels were shot from IPCL Township with Nikon D60 and
55-200 VR lens.You can see a lot of squirrels running,jumping and
chirping around here.Two of them sharing love is not a rare scene here
but this lighting would be rare.As I usually snap with Manual
focussing,I couldnt do a fast sharp focussing to snap this moment.You
can see its slightly out of focus.Its a bit difficult to manually
focus if your subject contrast is less and confusing.The lighting here
glows only the subjects and there is a lively expression of Love in
them.Godly creatures!!

Colorful Butterfly!!

This picture is shot from our IPCL Township,Vadodara.There is an area
with wild bushes and lots of flowers on the way to my home.I used to
observe that in the afternoon there will be 20-30 butterflies from 4
varieties of color code.

Shot with Nikon D60 and the new lens 55-200 VR.My new lens
captures pictures with good detail and depth in color if the scene is
not too bright or not highlighted with a source of light.

Butterfly mating!!

After I took my new Nikon D60 DSLR,I roamed a lot behind butterflies
to get a good snap.I had limitations with my 3x 18-55mm lens which
came with the camera kit.When I go near the subject,it flies off
suddenly and I return back sad.Finally after 3weeks, I found these
couples making love.I thought it is a single butterfly with wide open
wings.But there were two and I realised they were making love.They
didnt even bother me taking their snaps.It lasted for around
40minutes.I got 2 good pictures out of the venture." Nature's unveiled
deeds of love,beauty and innocence!Love life,live life...!! "

Test blog through email:)

Blogging email was necessary since while I try posting messages directly from the blog photos are not getting loaded from my mobile.But it gets loaded into the gmails which I send.And this is working well.Want to know what I did?First go to Settings of your Blog in Dashboard.There you go to Email.In the place for "Address to Blog" set your mail address to which you will be sending the blog.This will be in the format "username.secretnumber@blogger.com".After setting this you can mail to this ID from any of your email.For photos to be included attach them with mail.The subject of mail becomes "Title" of the blog posted and the mail body becomes "Subject".Make sure this blogger mail address is kept secret,else anyone can post a blog just by sending a mail to that address.You can also add your and/or some of your dear friends' mail IDs in the column to send emails once to post a new blog.

So now,its needed that I upload the images from my mobile once to gmail only.From there I can send/forward it to flickr,blogger or any others whom I wish.
